We knew this was wrong as we have discovered some physical evidence of a bell in the recently dismantled clock tower. We didn’t know how wrong though…

It’s official: the clock tower at The Redesdale Hall in Moreton-in-Marsh is undergoing much-needed restoration! While the recent leaks have reminded us of its current state, today marks a significant milestone—the scaffolding is going up, paving the way for a comprehensive restoration project. Over the coming weeks, you’ll witness the careful dismantling of key components, including the cupola, clock faces, and intricate carvings. Skilled craftsmen will restore these elements off-site, ensuring that our beloved clock returns to its original splendor by spring 2025.

Update: Proof the Netting is Essential
We’re seeing firsthand just how crucial the recent safety measures have been at The Redesdale Hall. This week, the roof netting caught a loose tile, preventing it from falling into the busy A429 below. This incident highlights the importance of both the previous scaffolding and the newly installed netting, which are vital in ensuring public safety while restoration work continues.
It’s a reminder that these preventive measures were not only necessary but timely, and we’re grateful for the continued patience and support of the community as we work to restore the hall to its former glory.
