We have great news!
Thanks in no small part to our community fundraising, on the 28th September works will start on Phase 2 of our capital project, replacing the roof. The first thing you’ll see is the dreaded scaffolding going back up – but at least this time it’s only temporary. That will take a couple of weeks or so and then the big job of stripping the roof will start. We will have two signing sessions in November for anyone who’s purchased a tile and wants to have their name (or maybe a little message?!) on the roof. If you haven’t purchased one yet but keep meaning to, please email us or go to the help raise the roof! page.
The works will be complete in spring.

The return of the Bells
If you do a google search or ask AI about whether bells have ever rung out at The Redesdale Hall, it will confidently reply that no—no bells have ever been hung there. We knew this was wrong as we have discovered some physical evidence of a bell in the recently dismantled clock tower. We didn’t know how wrong though…

Clock Tower Restoration: An Exciting Milestone Begins!
It’s official: the clock tower at The Redesdale Hall in Moreton-in-Marsh is undergoing much-needed restoration! While the recent leaks have reminded us of its current state, today marks a significant milestone—the scaffolding is going up, paving the way for a comprehensive restoration project. Over the coming weeks, you’ll witness the careful dismantling of key components, including the cupola, clock faces, and intricate carvings. Skilled craftsmen will restore these elements off-site, ensuring that our beloved clock returns to its original splendor by spring 2025.
We appreciate your support and patience as we embark on this journey to preserve our historical treasure for future generations. Stay tuned for updates as we bring the clock tower back to life!
